Women’s Eid Reunion

The Muslim Women’s Unit of Michigan held an Eid Al-Fitr Reunion for women today.

Nearly 100 people attended the event which included lectures by Dr. Maleka Begum, the north zone women’s representative, and President of the MWU Muhsina Khan.

Women and girls dressed in Eid attire – from saris to salwar kamiz.

Nahid Haque sang Eid songs. Food was provided.

Regular Sunday meetings will continue from next week at 11 a.m. at the Masjid Al-Falah auditorium Inshallah.

Events coordinators wanted

Young Sisters of MUNA is looking for two events coordinators.


  • Planning events
  • Working with the president and secretary to book, organize and follow-up on events
  • Come up with duties for individuals during events
  • Advertise
  • Doing surveys for feedback
  • Taking¬†pictures and or video of events with permission


  • Mother-Daugther Tea
  • Ramadan Qiyam(s)
  • Eid Party (at least 1 of 2)
  • Educational Session
  • Summer picnic/ camp
  • Dawah¬†worshop
  • Tea Parties
  • Community service projects (2-3)
  • Other sister activities


Well-organized and willing to dedicate at least 3 hours of their time per event. Self-motivated and creative. People who attend MUNA events regularly should apply.

Young Sisters are expected to help organize and participate in all events to ensure successful programs and events.
