About Us
The Young Sisters of MUNA is a social faith-based organization. Young Sisters is branch of a larger national group called the Muslim Ummah of North America.
Founded in 1997, the organization seeks to educate Muslim and non-Muslims about Islam through five agendas:
1. Dawah
2. Organization
3. Education
4. Social service
5. Relationship building, interfaith work
The Michigan chapter of Young Sisters consists of about 50 supporters, and 13 associate members. Associate members are comprised of girls from ages 10-20+ who attend weekly faith-improvement meetings, keep track of their daily progress, and give a donation/fee to the organization. The money collected is then used for service projects.
Young Sisters reports to the Michigan Women’s Unit.
